CD Launch: It's a Boy!

The new MarineVille CD Diving the Wreck is officially out!

Diving the Wreck has 9 fine songs and a beautiful cover... It will be in shops via Rhythm Method over the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile you can order online from Smokecds or email us for copies or approach us randomly in the street.

Our release gig with No San Pedro, Cherry and Jumpin' Johnny White was cool (I think our best show for years) including a great we-all-go-bonkers meltdown finish.

Johnny did his keyboard thing which was a first, (how is this man not wildly successful and famous and signed to some indie pop big little label like Merge?). NSP did their crazy assemblage of elements that you can't imagine how it will work but it somehow does in a totally unique psych-punk-pop-noise way, and Cherry was Cherry, all 50's-60's pop covers, totally unique in his own way too.

Our bass player Bevan Involve-Signer-Aspen-Smith is currently on tour in the USA with Arial Pink from Animal Collective (lucky devil) so we have John Douglas stepping in on temp bass duties, bringing to mind Hotel California's adage 'you can check out but you can never leave' heheheheh...

We play AK on Dec 4th at Edens Bar. If we return to the South Island Geoff will be bringing his South Island passport (we made him one specially) and in the case of "sheep bites" says he will douse himself in vinegar... hmmm.
